Mr. Andruss did a very good job on this book. His second book should be as good if not better ...

Hello,
I am involved in the restoration of PT Boat 658 in Portland Oregon and have been involved with PT Boats for 15 years now. I am a member of the Save the PT Boat Inc Board of Directors, and have been interested in them all of my life. I showed Franks book to the entire PT Boat group, which consists of 10-15 WW2 PT veterans and everyone was amazed at the rare content of this book as well as the authoritative descriptions and presentation as a whole. Frank has a wealth of great photos in the book that you simply cannot find anywhere else and I feel truly fortunate that he was able to share them with us. Anybody who has even a passing interest in PT Boats, from history buffs to modelers, will be unable to put this book down. It will also increase in value as you keep referring back to it for one more look at these rare photos. I would rate this book very high in any collection of books on this subject. Jerry

This amazing book has definately achieved its goal. The main aspect of this book is it's original photos, which I found to be of great interest and rich in detail. Kudos to the author, and I am very proud to have this book on my shelf.

I am the son of Commander J.Alex Michaud,Commander Motor Torpedo Boat Squadrons,Philippine Sea Frontier, and grew up learning of the importance that the PT boats played in winning the war in the Pacific. Mr. Andruss has captured and portrayed the spirit and energy that the builders must have had in building these important war machines.
I was awestruck to see what went on in the factories during their important effort. This book represents the missing piece for anyone who is interested not only in PT boats but in World War II in the Pacific.
PT boats played an important part in our effort to win in the Pacific and Mr. Andruss has written and important book showing the effort to build these wonderful naval vessels. Building the PT Boats is a must for anyone who is interested in the history and research of that period in time.
Bravo Mr. Andruss and thank you for this wonderful book. I plan to buy enough copies to give as gifts to family and friends.
