War Reporting for Cowards by Chris Ayres (Atlantic Monthly Press)
I’m thoroughly enjoying this memoir, which is easily the best book I’ve read from the “embedded” reporters in the Iraq war, and brings to mind such classics of war literature as Evelyn Waugh’s Scoop. The title and the cover picture do a brilliant job of telling the story.
A well-defined concept if ever there was one! I’m going to see if I can do an interview with the author.
