“It is also important that we meet our quota for French-made programmes, and this will obviously be included.”
Don’t get me wrong, I loved “Starsky & Hutch.” And, of course, the fact that there are many silly TV programs in both America and France does nothing to eliminate the many wonderful things that are happening in those countries for book-lovers. Nevertheless, this news story does seem like a moderately disturbing sign of the state of global civilization.
Onward with the proud tradition of the French dramatic arts.
