BostonHerald.com - More Inside Track: ‘Code’ red-faced: Bio reveals author’s pre-‘Da Vinci’ life:
A new unauthorized biography of “Da Vinci Code” author Dan Brown reveals some rather embarrassing tales about the best-selling scribe’s early years.
According to author Lisa Rogak’s recently released “The Man Behind the Da Vinci Code,” Brown’s post-college stint as a songwriter out in La-La produced a demo CD that included “976-LOVE,” a song about paid phone sex!
Though he was billed as “the next Barry Manilow,” Brown lamented that “the world isn’t ready for a pale, balding geek shaking his booty on MTV,” Rogak writes.
