Deciphering the Da Vinci Code Movie Trailer | The Solomon Key, by Dan Brown - News, Essays and Analysis

Greg Taylor has a great, very detailed post deciphering the Da Vinci Code movie trailer in far more detail than I could ever have done. The trailer gave me a headache! In all honesty, I’m not sure how good the movie will be … it struck me as rather ominous that there was such a strong “conspiracy movie” tone to it with the last words of Ian McKellen’s voice-over being “the greatest conspiracy the world has ever seen.”

One of the things I liked about the novel was the sense of Robert Langdon’s mind being like a sword or laser that cut through the mysteries … I wonder if that’s being lost in the movie. Tom Hanks seems rather overpowered from what we’ve seen so far.
