“Misquotes in Misquoting Jesus”
I’ve just read Dillon Burroughs’ Misquotes in Misquoting Jesus: Why You Can Still Believe, a critical review of Bart Ehrman’s Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why. It was of interest to me in view of the work I’ve done on the Ehrman-Craig debate.I cannot, in good faith, make extensive comments on the book, since I haven’t read Ehrman’s. I’ve seen enough information on Ehrman’s thesis to know approximately what he’s saying, but I don’t want to run ahead too far on this. I can certainly say I found Burroughs’ book to be fair in its tone, so that I tend to think it represents Ehrman accurately. To the extent that it does, it refutes him effectively. It’s well written and informative, well worth recommending.
Thinking Christian gets it.

“People are out of harm’s way, they are rescued and they are safe,” said Alaska National Guard spokesman Maj. Mike Haller
The rescue was conducted in “very challenging weather,” said Master Sgt. Sal Provenzano with the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center. There were 10-foot seas whipping the ship, which was listed nearly on its side.
All 23 crew members were hoisted into two National Guard Pave Hawk helicopters and a Coast Guard helicopter and taken to Adak Island in the Aleutians, 230 miles to the north of the Cougar Ace.
“We made the decision to cram in everybody,” Provenzano said.
Wow, that looks like it has the handling characteristics of a brick.
