#queryfail — use the right statistics for the right publisher

  • Don’t tie your proposal to the fact that there are tens of millions of baby boomers, 13 million women over the age of 80, or any other huge group. That sort of data is more persuasive to publishers who have the marketing muscle to reach truly national audiences. I aim at niches.  So, for me, would be much more useful to discuss the sales histories of highly comparable books.   Historical sales data with 90-day and lifetime averages is available at TitleZ.com for free (no affiliation).
