“Your Book Is Available for Distribution …”

Once a book is listed as available for distribution, it takes anywhere from overnight to a couple of weeks for the complete listing for the book to actually show up in online bookstores (which you can track using the methods mentioned in Your ISBN Number Is…)

It is important to know that the pages are built gradually at Amazon.com, so that the basic info (title, author) shows up first, and then such elements as price, availability, the buy now button, and the cover image show up gradually over a couple of weeks. The basic rule is “don’t panic,” these things will show up eventually. If it seems to be taking an especially long time for things to look right, let me know and I can check.
