Situation: your new book is only available on Amazon via outside sellers, i.e. the “buy button” says “see all buying options,” not “Buy”, and when you click through to the buying options, the only seller is somebody called BOOKSPLUSMORESTUFF.
Solution: Don’t worry. This will disappear in a day or two and the normal buy button will appear. Your cover image and all the book’s descriptive info will appear over course of the next week or two.
Explanation: BOOKSPLUSMORESTUFF is an Amazon Marketplace vendor that is apparently incorporating the LSI/Ingram feed in its listings faster than anyone else, including Amazon. Unfortunately, they seem rather error-prone: all their listings are capitalized, and I’ve seen them get the names of authors mixed up.
Recommendations: don’t link to your book until the regular buy button appears (ideally, wait until your cover image appears), and don’t encourage your customers to buy from BOOKSPLUSMORESTUFF. The sale would have the same revenue impact for you as a sale through Amazon, but I prefer to have Amazon handle the customer service when possible.
