Direct Purchases

Bookstores: We recommend that you purchase directly from Ingram.  Most of our titles are available from them.  However, if you want to order direct from us, we will be glad to fulfill — see the terms below.

Libraries: We recommend that you purchase from Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Amazon,  or direct from Nimble Books. Please do not use library fulfillment vendors such as Coutt’s, as they simply fire off a purchase order to us, and then ignore our response email reminding them of our prepayment policy.

Consumers: We recommend that you purchase directly from your favorite online bookseller, or ask your bookstore to do a special order.

Terms:

  • Direct ship from printer at 35% discount (i.e. price is 0.65 * list), buyer pays actual cost of s&h, prepaid, nonreturnable.
  • No purchase orders or credit lines.

Prepayment terms:

Google Checkout, PayPal or check.

  • Google Checkout is preferred as there are no transaction fees. For either Google Checkout or PayPal, we invoice you.  Both services accept credit cards and merely require that payer set up a free login.
  • Cashier’s check required for orders of more than $100.

Quantity discounts:

  • For 50-99 units per title, total discount (including base 35%) is 40%.
  • For 100-249 units per title, total discount is 45%.
  • For 250-499 units per title, total discount 50%.
  • For 500+, total discount is 55%.

Quantities are for units per individual title, not for the total number of units in a combined order of several titles. I.e. you must buy 50 copies of a single book to get the 40% discount for that book, you can’t get there by buying 10 copies of 5 books each.

Modes of shipping: All orders are drop shipped from the printer. Several different modes are available in the US from UPS ground to overnight.  A tip: if it’s convenient, you may want to provide your home address, as Residential Ground is usually about 20% cheaper than Commercial Ground.

For international shipping, only “International Economy”  and “International Premium” (second day air) are available. International Economy is not trackable or insurable, but is about 1/3 the cost of International Premium.  We have not had any reported difficulties with International Economy.
