my #CTR data – why $GOOG is terrified of Twitter and Linked In

About a month ago I began making more energetic use of LinkedIn and Twitter.

The top three sources of referrals to my site (with numbers normalized to 100) are now:

  1. Google Images (which is ironic, because the images are simply ones that I find interesting, like the rhino at the Detroit Zoo or the new periodic table, and have nothing to do with my core business) (1o00 )
  2. LinkedIn (100)
  3. Twitter (100)
  4. Google Web Search (50)

The LinkedIn and Twitter referrals are also much more cost-efficient in terms of CTR, because those clicks were generated on the basis of ~ 100 LinkedIn posts and ~100 tweets, whereas the Google Web search clicks came from ~2500 blog and static pages.
